Graphic Designer
Gilson
OBJECTIVE: As a member of the Gilson Tonic department, the Graphic Designer will support a full suite of graphic design services for a range of clients across diverse industries, and be involved in the development of brand identities, digital marketing and content creation, photography and video, packaging and retail POP display solutions, literature and collateral program designs, trade show booths, and direct mail campaigns.
SUPERVISOR: Position reports to the Director, Marketing & Design
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with account and project management teams to understand project requirements, client objectives, and target audiences to conceptualize and develop design solutions that align with clients’ brand identities and communication goals
- Create captivating and engaging visual content for various mediums, including print collateral, packaging, digital assets, social media graphics, email campaigns, websites, and more
- Participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing fresh ideas and innovative design concepts to effectively address clients’ design challenges
- Take ownership of the design process from ideation to execution, ensuring high-quality deliverables within established timelines
- Remain updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices to enhance the team’s creativity and design capabilities
- Adapt and tailor designs to suit the unique needs and preferences of different clients and industries, while maintaining a consistent level of excellence in design
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including account managers, project managers, copywriters, and outside resources, to ensure seamless project execution and successful client outcomes
- Review and revise designs based on feedback from clients and internal stakeholders, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and client satisfaction
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines and client expectations
- Ensure brand consistency across all client deliverables and adhere to established brand guidelines when applicable

EDUCATION & TRAINING: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, or related field
EXPERIENCE:
- proven experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects and styles
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
ATTITUDE:
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- A passion for design and a desire to stay updated on the latest industry trends and innovations
- Flexibility and adaptability to adjust design approached based on client preferences and project requirements
KNOWLEDGE AND APTITUDE:
- Solid understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and composition
- Knowledge of abilities and limitations of Adobe Creative Cloud applications
- Other software programs or processes as directed by management

- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail
- Present information verbally and explain design concepts to clients and team members
