Graphic Village & Freestore Partner on T-Shirts for the Hungry

Source: Graphic Village, May 14, 2020

The Freestore Foodbank is facing a 200-percent increase in the need for food since the coronavirus pandemic began. To help support this organization, Graphic Village is producing and selling special T-shirts with proceeds supporting the organization.

Shirts are available now at www.freestorefoodbankcovid19.comEach $15 T-shirt purchase provides 15 meals to families across Greater Cincinnati and reads “I supported our neighbors through COVID-19”

Among the hardest hit since the pandemic began are school aged children, who have less access to school served meals now that schools are closed for the year. The organization also reports a majority of calls for help coming from families who have never needed this type of support before. Typically, the Foodbank spends $100,000 per month on relief food, but is currently spending more than $1.5 million. In addition, fundraising and food drive events that normally support the Freestore Foodbank have been cancelled due to shelter-in-place orders. These factors have created unprecedented challenges for the prominent Cincinnati organization.

“The sale of this T-shirt from Graphic Village will be able to help provide 15 meals to the community and will allow you to display your support for all to see!”

“During the COVID-19 crisis, we have seen an increase in the need in our community and more importantly, an increase in the support from our community,” said Kurt Reiber, President and CEO of Freestore Foodbank. “The sale of this T-shirt from Graphic Village will be able to help provide 15 meals to the community and will allow you to display your support for all to see!”

As the region’s largest multichannel print marketing solutions provider, Graphic Village was able to quickly develop a way to support the Freestore Foodbank.

“We are happy to help the many people in our community who are relying on the Freestore Foodbank during this difficult time,” said Mike Nold, CEO of Graphic Village. “We not only hope to sell shirts, but we encourage everyone to wear them on video conference calls or post pictures online to spread the word of this immense need and how we can help.”
