West-Camp Completes Acquisition of CSP Graphics

Westerville, Ohio - January 8, 2018 - West-Camp Press, Inc. announces the acquisition of Cleveland-based CSP Graphics, to support its growing client base in the northern Ohio market including the Cleveland Browns. West-Camp is the Preferred Display Graphics Partner of the Browns and this facility will provide greater support for the work in this market. This is the second acquisition for West-Camp in the last seven months and represents its first manufacturing plant outside of Central Ohio.

West-Camp was founded in 1961 and has grown into a full service printing company offering traditional offset and small format digital printing along with grand format digital and screen printing. The printing company has had 10 consecutive years of growth driven by continued expansion of print technology. In 2016, West-Camp became 100% Employee owned company (ESOP).

Ed Evans, West-Camp CEO, commented, “CSP Graphics is an ideal company to serve our Cleveland clients and help us expand further in the market. They were founded on quality and innovation allowing them to deliver the highest level of service to their clients. Our cultures and values mirror each other.”

CSP Graphics was formed in 1972 as a high quality screen printer and evolved into a large format graphics specialist. John Filigenzi, CSP Graphics President, explained, “I am excited about the vision and future with West-Camp. We can offer our clients significant new products while continuing to deliver outstanding service utilizing West-Camp’s technology. In addition, CSP Graphics employees will continue to work for a growing organization with similar values.” Mr. Filigenzi will serve as consultant to West-Camp and assist in the transition.

With the latest acquisition, West-Camp will have over 150 employees and 120,000 square feet of manufacturing, warehousing and distribution in multiple locations including Westerville, Columbus and Cleveland.

Ikea Print Ad Includes Pregnancy Test (Like, The Ones You Pee On)

Ikea's new print ad in Sweden includes a pregnancy test where women can, well, you know how home pregnancy tests work…

"Peeing on this ad may change your life," the ad says.

Not only will the print ad, which appears in women's magazine Amelia, provide life-changing information, there is still a pecuniary incentive for expecting readers. If they find out that they are, in fact, pregnant by peeing on the magazine ad, they'll get a discount on a crib from Ikea.

Aside from this particular use, this kind of technology could pave the way for more interactive print advertising. Think about potential clients in industries like healthcare, safety and more.
