Southern Region FOREtheWIN Recap
October 12 was such an incredible night at our much anticipated inaugural Southern Region FOREtheWIN Workforce Development Challenge!
We had almost 30 students participating from five local schools:
- Diamond Oaks Career Campus
- Greene County Career Center
- Live Oaks Career Campus
- Scarlet Oaks Career Campus
- Upper Valley Career Center
Seven member companies sponsored bays and sent representatives to meet with the students:

- Think Patented
- United Direct Solutions
Students were so eager to meet the participating member companies that golf balls would sometimes go unhit for an opportunity to connect with potential employers and get insights on the industry. After changing bays every 15 minutes to meet with everyone, the students still secured the victory over the members with a score of 413 to 392. Thank you to all of our sponsors and participating companies. The students will not forget this incredible evening of networking and fun!

Join GMA for an evening of workforce development and networking! Learn about careers in printing AND have a great time. We’re challenging students to tee off against member companies during the FOREtheWIN Workforce Development Golf Challenge from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
We will start the evening at 6:00 pm sharp with great food while having meaningful conversations about the industry. Tee time will begin at 7:00 pm, and students will be rotating bays every 15 - 20 minutes to get a chance to meet with all member companies in attendance. Upon conclusion of the event at 9:00 pm, we will award the winning group with the GMA FOREtheWIN Trophy and bragging rights.
