Save the Date!
Printing Industries of Ohio • N.Kentucky is doing something different this year! Although we will again be sponsoring The Ohio State Fair and Printers’ Day at the Fair on July 27th 2014, it has been separated from our leadership conference which will now take place in September. Printers’ Day at the Fair is a fun event that has proved to be rewarding for members and their employees with free entry to the fair, contests and a free picnic lunch for all, including employees’ families. It allows us to promote the printing industry and provide a low-cost way for members to reward their staff for their hard work. Call your BDD or the association office at 614.794.2300 for tickets to the fair and for information to share with your staff!
In addition to the fun, we will also take the opportunity to recognize our PIEF scholars for 2014-2015 during a ceremony that will include their families and industry representatives. We will thank them for their volunteer work on behalf of the association and provide an opportunity for them to network with potential employers. We are proud to be providing these young people with an entrée into our industry!
In September, we will host our conference – the Emerge Leadership Forum – with three days of industry-focused activities. There will be a series of panel discussions aimed at assisting printers with today’s difficult decision…Do we become a Market Service Provider? Or, do we stay primarily focused on printing? What is the right decision in today’s challenging marketplace?
Additionally, we will host all of the great networking events that you’ve come to enjoy. The Grand Ceremony on Sunday, September 14, where we’ll honor the Best of Category winners from our Print Contest with a cocktail reception, dinner, and awards; The Casino Night on Monday, September 15th; and the Golf Outing on September 16th. Our 9th Annual Golf Outing will again be at the NorthStar Golf Club in Sunbury, Ohio and will offer great opportunities to socialize and impress.
