As you know, federal law requires that trade associations notify members of the portion of dues which is non-deductible as lobbying expenses. Printing Industries of America determines this amount at the end of each fiscal year. For tax year 2017, Printing Industries of America estimates that 4.74% of the dues paid to affiliates will be non-deductible as lobbying expenses. Contact Judy Kellum, jkellum@pianko.org for a copy of the PIA dues deductibility statement.
Of course, you should always consult your tax-professional. This is information and is not intended to be tax advice.
Just a reminder. If you’re looking for new employees for your firm, check out the Association's employment links, including the Job Bank. Job seekers can post their resumes at no cost. Employers can review resumes for free or list their job openings for a small fee.
