OBJECTIVE

As a lead member of the Gilson North Ave. press team, a Head Pressman is responsible for the set-up, operation, and preventative maintenance of the Man Roland 6/c – color printing press to consistently meet or exceed production requirements.

SUPERVISOR

Position reports to the Gilson - North Ave. Director of Operations

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Must effectively lead and direct press crew(s) by fostering an environment of accountability, continuous improvement, and efficiency
Must be able to review job tickets for accuracy

REQUIREMENTS

To successfully perform this job, an individual must be able to fulfill each role and perform each responsibility listed above
Must possess intimate knowledge of customer requirements, standard practices, required materials, techniques, and processes
Must be able to bend and lift 25 lbs.
Must perform other related duties as required

Education and Training Requirements

High School degree or above, and/or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities
Participation in a variety of professional training programs

Experience

Prior head pressman experience
Press room supervisory experience preferred

Attitude

Motivated as a self-starter
High degree of detail and accuracy
Demonstrated commitment to quality

Knowledge and Aptitude

Proficient with Microsoft Office and Pace software
Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills
