Print Act 2018: Call to Action

Call to Action:

Ask Your Senators to Support the PRINT Act of 2018

PIA is endorsing the Protecting Rational Incentives in Newsprint Trade Act of 2018 (or PRINT Act) introduced this week by U.S. Senators Susan Collins (R-ME) and Angus King (I-ME). The PRINT Act would require a pause in the imposition of these new duties on Canadian uncoated groundwood (UGW) paper imports until the Department of Commerce completes a study on the economic health of the printing and publishing industries.

PIA encourages member companies to contact their U.S. Senators to urge support of this legislation. Please take action here to contact your U.S. Senators through our STOPP (Stop Tariffs on Printers and Publishers) campaign today and urge your U.S. Senators to take any action possible to prevent these tariffs from further damaging the industry. Be sure to share this action link with others in your company and in the industry.

Also, if your company is being hurt now by these tariffs, please tell PIA your story so we can better advocate on your behalf! Email us at printpowers@printing.org to let us know how your company, employees, and customers are being impacted due to tariffs on uncoated groundwood paper.

Thank you for taking action today! To learn more about how your company can participate in PIA's industry advocacy, please visit www.printpowersamerica.com.
