Peer Groups: You Are Not Alone!

Source: PIASC Weekly Update, November 6, 2017

Running a business is challenging and frustrating at the same time. How do you grow the firm? How do you motivate your people? How can we become more efficient?

These are the questions that are constantly on our minds and which we wind up talking to ourselves about. What if it were possible to share these questions with others in the same boat but who are not your employees nor your competitors?

If this sounds like an answer to your prayers, check out a PIA peer group. Peer groups are small groups of printing CEOs running similar businesses to yours but in different parts of the country, so they’re not competitors. Several peer groups are looking for new members, so the first step is to call PIA’s June Crespo at (412) 741-6860 (email: jcrespo@ printing.org).  https://www.printing.org/programs/groups/peer-groups

Editor's Note: There is an open spot in a peer group for Sales Managers.  Please contact Jim Cunningham for more information if you are interested.

Our Association's InPlant peer group continues to meet regularly and is open to new members. If you run an InPlant and want to be included, call Jim Cunningham at 614.794.2300 for more information about the PEER Group or to find out more about the next meeting.

It’s time to meet your PEERs!  Recent industry surveys show that “networking” is the number one reason to belong to an Association.  For Roger Chamberlain, the best example of networking is interacting with his peers through a PEER Group which allows him to benchmark his company against the other members of the group and learn from each other!

"Thanks to Printing Industries of Ohio • N.Kentucky, this is now possible. Production processes, financial resources, marketing, and innovative technology initiatives are all part of the discussions!"
