Do You Participate In Our Demand Response Program?
ONE (1) HOUR - MANDATORY ELECTRIC REDUCTION TEST:
Tuesday - September 1, 2015 [4:00 p.m. thru 5:00 p.m.] Eastern Prevailing Time
Do you participate in our Demand Response Program? Did you receive KOREnergy's email, duplicated below?
KOREnergy is hereby notifying you that on Tuesday – September 1st between [4:00 p.m. thru 5:00 p.m.] Eastern Prevailing Time, you are required to implement a mandatory electric reduction test at your facility, pursuant to PJM's Demand Response Program Guidelines.
1. During this one (1) hour test, you are required to reduce your electric usage to minimum levels:
Life Safety or Non-Production/Non-Operating Levels
2. Please note that each customer should determine what lead time is required to insure that your electric reduction is fully implemented at 4:00 pm:
Turn on back-up generators and transfer the load prior to 4:00 pm.
- Meet with applicable personnel to review their duties to implement the electric reduction.
- Notify applicable facility staff, affected departments, etc.
- Regarding A/C, you may want to pre-cool your facility the hour prior to the electric reduction and then reverse the set points prior to 4:00 pm.
3. Test Notification Reminders from KOREnergy:
- You will receive a reminder notice via our “all-call” notification system:
o the afternoon on the day prior to the TEST
o the day of the TEST
