Job Description: McNaughton & Gunn is a full service book manufacturing company. We are seeking candidates with experience in book manufacturing who are looking for full-time, part-time, or temporary work. We have immediate openings in the Press and Bindery departments for: Skilled - Bindery Machine Operators and Printing Press Operators. Qualified candidates will have knowledge and experience of book manufacturing equipment such as KBA, Timson Web and Planeta presses, Collators, Saddle Stitchers, Kolbus Binders, 3knife trimmers (Zenith & Kolbus) and Stahl and MBO Folders. All experience will be considered. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Work activity can involve exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Positions may require extensive stooping, reaching, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping and repetitive motions, moderate kneeling, crouching, walking, talking and hearing, and occasional climbing, balancing, crawling, fingering and feeling. Worker is subject to noise, hazards and atmospheric conditions.
*Manufacturing hours: Hiring for all shifts – mostly for afternoon and midnight shifts
Day shift 7am – 3pm
Afternoon shift 3pm – 11pm
Midnight shift 11pm – 7am
*30-minute unpaid lunch (7.5-hour workday)
(Part-time and temporary work hours vary and offer flexibility)
