Webinar - The Latest with Patent Infringement and NC, RFID and Electronics in Print Join us for the two-for-one session on threats of patent infringement and the latest advancements in NFC, RFID and electronic printing. Tom Heneghan, a partner in the Madison, WI, office of Husch Blackwell, will discuss strategies for responding to threats of patent, trademark and copyright infringement and trade secret misappropriation. Whether the threat comes from a patent troll, a competitor, a former business partner or even a customer, the first steps you take in responding will likely set the tone for the eventual resolution of the matter. Learn what to look for and how to deal with it. Joseph Lyman, president of the Great Lakes Graphics Association, will discuss the latest advancements in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Near Field Communication (NFC) and electronic printing that are allowing the industry to create new, engaging products and services that are revolutionizing the commercial and industrial printing industry. About the Presenters: Tom Heneghan is a trial lawyer practicing complex intellectual property and business litigation. He has extensive experience in Hatch-Waxman litigation on behalf of generic pharmaceutical companies and has handled numerous patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret litigation matters related to various technical fields, including polymer processing, chemistry, metallurgy, pharmacology and animal reproduction, and various media, including print, video and computer software. He has extensive experience defending and prosecuting all aspects of intellectual property and commercial claims, including investigation, examination and defense of expert witnesses; motion practice; settlement negotiation; discovery management; jury and bench trials; and appellate practice. He also has extensive experience handling patent litigation matters in the Western District of Wisconsin rocket docket. Joseph E. Lyman is the president of the Great Lakes Graphics Association and has served in the position since 2010. Passionate about education and training, Joseph has been actively involved in a number of organizations such as the Printing Industries of America and National Council for Print Industry Certifications that provide educational opportunities and training in the industry. He also serves on a number of advisory boards for institutions throughout the region including UW-Stout and Waukesha County Technical College. Over the past several years, he has focused his efforts on promoting the use of radio frequency identification (RFID) and near-field communication (NFC) in print and packaging to help increase the value of industry products to clients and end-users.
