Disaster Mutual Assistance Plan

When disaster strikes, it's good to know that there is someone to lend a hand just around the corner. Several times over the past few years, Association member companies quickly came to the aid of their fellow printers, offering their facilities to assist those who were shut down by storms, power failures or other disasters, such as the current COVID-19 pandemic.

The Association’s Disaster Mutual Assistance Plan (DMAP) was created to assist members when production is affected by situations like damaging summer storms, power outages or other unforeseeable business issues. The program is FREE and provides a fast and easy way to make sure our member companies can keep work flowing for their clients despite a disaster, while protecting the company’s client base. It’s easy to sign up and allows you to find help should your company need it, or offer help when a fellow printer is in need.

Fortunately, printers do not often experience a disaster which interrupts their business operations, but occasionally, it happens. Storm damage, floods, fire, equipment breakdown, labor disputes, etc. can all bring production operations to a screeching halt and prevent or delay a company from fulfilling its customers' needs. You can buy insurance to cover the cost of the damaged and to recover the cost of additional business expenses, but you still must serve your customers. If you don't meet the customer's needs quickly, everything else becomes unimportant.

Participation in the DMAP program is FREE to all Association members. You simply need to sign a Confidentiality and Non-Compete Agreement and complete an Equipment Inventory.

Participants agree that in the event another DMAP member contacts them needing assistance, they will respond favorably by offering to perform the services needed in a confidential manner subject to the following guidelines:

Please contact your Business Development Director to get more information about DMAP.
