Print Week 2018 - Southern Region Honors!
Our Print Week traditions not only include celebrating our Print Excellence Award winners, but we honor individuals and companies who have greatly impacted the industry. Since 1963 our Southern Region has recognized an individual for Printer of the Year, and a company for the Maxwell Award.
The recipient of Printer of the Year is actively engaged in any field of the graphic arts industry, have a minimum of 15 years’ experience and have distinguished himself/herself by their contributions in the industry. They should also be involved in their community and/or civic affairs. This year we are pleased to present the Printer of the Year to Roger Chamberlain. Roger has been an integral part of the Association leadership team since joining the Association Board in 2009. He was the first InPlant Manager to undertake a leadership role with the Association and has been a true innovator. Roger served as Chairman of the Board in 2013, and represents the Association on a national level as a PIA Board Member.
The Maxwell Award is given to a company who demonstrates forward thinking, is a market leader, and is recognizable for its contributions to both the industry and local community. Our 2018 award winner, Zumbiel Packaging is just that. Their company history traces back to the 1800’s, making them the oldest box maker in Cincinnati and one of the oldest in the nation. Over these years, Zumbiel Packaging has transformed their company to adhere to the ever-changing industry. In part to their innovative techniques, they are considered an industry leader in the packaging industry.
The 2018 recipients of the Printer of the Year and Maxwell Award are without question deserving of these prestigious awards. Join us in celebrating their accomplishments at the 56th Annual Southern Region Banquet on January 25th at 6:00 pm.

At our Southern Region banquet we look forward to continuing our tradition by honoring the Print Excellence Award winners, our 56th Printer of the Year and our 31st Maxwell Award winner. Join us to celebrate!
Join us to review and honor all the wonderful printed work in Ohio and N.Kentucky. Put your region's event on your calendar, celebrate the best of the best AND take part in choosing the best of the best. Print Week Events:
In the South, join in the fun at our annual Bierstube at the Hofbrauhaus in Newport, Ky on Tuesday, January 23th from 5:30-7:30 pm. Bring your press operators, bindery workers, customer service reps and your graphic designers for a few hours of fun and networking. This is a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new ones.

Also in the South, you can attend the annual Southern Region Banquet to honor the Print Excellence Award winners and vote for the People's Choice Award winner. We will also be presenting the 30th Maxwell Winner Award and the 55th Printer of the Year Award. The Southern banquet is set for Thursday, January 25th starting at 6:00 pm.

The Central Region Banquet will honor Print Excellence Awards winners at the Creekside Conference and Event Center in Gahanna on February 1st, at 6:00 pm. The banquet will start at 6:00 p.m.
