2019 Michigan Annual Meeting

Allied Printing Company, Inc.
2035 Hilton Road
Ferndale, MI 48220
Sponsored by:
Featuring:
Gary Jones, Director of Environmental, Health and Safety Affairs, SGIA
As the Trump Administration enters the home stretch, deregulatory activity has increased with several major replacements to the environmental regulations from the Obama Administration. The efforts to remove existing rules have been challenged and many court cases have been filed in opposition. OSHA has begun rulemaking on a critical regulation – the Lockout/Tagout Standard – which impacts every printing operation’s ability to safely operate equipment in an economical manner.
Even though the EPA is revising its regulations, OSHA has remained aggressive in their enforcement activity with printing operations. Hazardous wastes management continues to be a focus of state enforcement actions. A discussion on the significance of the Lockout/Tagout regulatory change and other key EPA deregulatory rules will be presented at Graphic Media Alliance’s Annual Regional Council Meetings.
Program:
11:00 a.m. Registration
11:30 a.m. Speaker
12:00 p.m. Lunch
The regional annual meetings are open to all Graphic Media Alliance members and guests. The meeting will also serve as the fourth quarter meeting of the Michigan Advisory Council and new officers and members will be elected.
